M= Marie D= Dan A=Anna X= unintelligible
M: So what did ya think?
D: I think they’re always good.
Pause
D: Pass the asparagus, please.
D: (semi-musically) Coleslaw-chicken-and-a-roast-applesandpotatoesand….
M: Dan! He’s doing this because the tape’s on..
A: I know, he’s just being horrible.
D: Put that in your notes.
A: Yeah! Put THAT in your notes and… type it!
(Laughter)
M: Anna says she’s up for a movie night.
D: Watch “The Engagement Ring”?
M: That’s what I was thinking.
A: Cool!
D: Cool.
M: She says she hasn’t seen it. We enjoy it. We’ve only watched it one time.
A: Neat!
M: And then there’s a really good movie on Sunday night on TV – Hallmark Channel – What was it called?
D: I don’t know but it looked good. But it looked like “The Notebook”-type.
A: Oh yah…What a good movie that was. I just love James Garner. You guys used to watch “The Rockford Files”?
M/D: mmm-huh
A: Wasn’t that great?
M: Not Dan…
A: What?!
M: He didn’t watch TV
A: Oh (in recognition)
M: But now it’s on re-runs. We watch it during the day too. And, um, “Murphy’s Romance” with Sally Field?
A: I didn’t see that!
M: That’s going to be on our list.
A. mmm, huh Carmine really used to like “Maverick”

D: But you know what? I was watching “One Versus a Hundred” the other day; the guy had $80,000; he had to identify three words that were spelled from the same row of the letters of keys; and it was “tin”, “gas”, and “kit”…
A: “Gas”
M: It’d be “gas”
D: No, “tin”
M … the “t” isn’t on the same row as the “k”
A: the “i” isn’t either
D: Anyway I chose “gas” – he got it wrong…. He said he types all the time – I thought, “Close your eyes and type, idiot!”
(Laughter)
A: You tell’im Dan
D: As soon as I saw it, I said ‘That’s “gas” ‘
M: Yeah
D: It’s “gas” – you can type it on the same hand, too! But half of ‘em missed it too – so 37 people split $80,000.
M: Wow.
A. huh. Well, we wouldn’t’ve missed it.
M: Nope.
D: Then there was another lady who lost $67,000; and that was…uhh… “Which actor gained the most for their role in a movie….
Renee Zelwigger for “Bridget Jones’ Diary”
M: Oh, I though it was for that other one she did..uhh…”Monster”
D: No, uhhh then Tom Hanks for, uuhhh, “Castaway”
M: But he didn’t gain for Castaway
D: Yah I know, he actually lost…uuhhh…uuhhh…. The guy that did Scarface..
A/M: Al Pacino?
D: Umm, uhhh, for some movie that he was, uuhhh, like a fighter
D: Anyway Renee Zelwigger was wrong it was Al Pacino…..who’s the guy that…..
A: Oh, DiNiro –
D: that was the fighter
A: Robert DiNiro – “Raging Bull”
D: Raging Bull, that was the one…So you knew that…
M: Well, she just told you (laughs)
D: So you knew he gained a lot of weight for that?
A: Oh, gained weight. Oh, that makes sense…Renee Zelwigger gained a lot
D: Well, he gained more
A: His is probably a lot of muscle too
D: So DiNiro got it for Raging Bull
A: Did you see, um, Taxi Driver?
D: Oh yeah
A: Travis Brickle
